Shanghai International Interior Design Festival
Shanghai, as a member of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network, was designated the "City of Design" by its Director General Irina Bokova on 20 May 2010. To implement the "Creative City" strategy of UNESCO, it is necessary for Shanghai to raise the level of its interior design industry. Shanghai International Interior Design Festival was co-organised by the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Shanghai Interior Decoration Association in 2010 and 2011 under this background.
Through the design festival, Shanghai will set up a cooperation and exchange platform for interior designers from all over the world and accelerate the formation of a release mechanism for future trends of interior design to lead industrial development.
In 2012, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co. Ltd will reach a cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Interior Decoration Association on the co-organisation of the Shanghai International Interior Design Festival 2012. With the support of the Shanghai Municipal Government, a series of design forums, design-award ceremony and design-trend releases will be held during the show period of Expo Build China 2012 from April 9th to 12th,. The win-win association between the two parties involved will create a new era of interior design in Shanghai and promote the development of the design industry in Shanghai.
Further details about this event will be announced in due time.
